Lupin III franchise. The story in this one involves Lupin getting caught up in the murder of a professor who is in possession of a piece of a map leading to lost treasure from Marco Polo and Lupin crosses paths with a rival criminal group led by Bernardo Vilar. The scientist's daughter, Lisa, has knowledge of her father's research into the lost treasure and gets manipulated by Lupin and Jigen to believe they are Interpol agents sent to help aid her. Lisa gets a bit too naive in thinking Lupin's an Interpol agent, even when clear hints are shown that Lupin is not an agent during key points of the film. Fujiko and Zenigata fulfill their typical roles for this Lupin TV special, though Goemon seemed to be around just by chance to aid Lupin in the later half of the film against Vilar. Also as a villain, Vilar is kind of underwhelming as he lacks the capabilities to be an equal to Lupin and mostly gets by using a satellite laser weapon he has access to. The film does have its comical moments thanks to the antics of our lead characters. But otherwise, this is yet another Lupin III TV special with a self-contained plot that doesn't do anything to change up its storytelling formula and has its hiccups with telling its story. It isn't the worst entry in the Lupin III franchise, but still not a memorable entry for me.
