While my thoughts of this Lupin III special aren't as negative as other reviewers are posting it here, I do have to admit that Twilight Gemini does carry a number of major flaws on its shoulders. Fujiko, Jigen and Goemon don't get to have much to do in this movie thus it is left up to Lupin and other side characters to push along the plot to the movie. The stereotypical transvestite baddie out to kill Lupin reeks of another example of anime negatively portraying transgenders. The movie carries a decent number of plot holes in regards to Lupin's search for the Morocco treasure and some other minor developments, as well as sporting animation quality that is noticeably below par for a TV special that aired during the mid-90s. Otherwise, Twilight Gemini is just another typical Lupin movie where Lupin outwits the bumbling Zenigata, goes for treasure, tries to woo women and fights off against criminals who are worst in their ways than he is. It is still a fairly entertaining movie to watch through, though it is far from being one of the Lupin III franchise's best quality titles.

Ugh! Anyone with a sub-average intelligence will quickly figure out who the real bad guy is and where the other half of the Twilight is. To make matters worse, characters are just butchered here. Lupin is sort of his normal self. Goemon has no purpose in this video other than a made up fight with a transvestite. Jigen is a waste of space. And don't even get me started on how they killed Fujiko! Yikes! She's nothing more than a bimbo in this tale whom the writers find various ways to uncloth her.
There were a few jokes about the transvestite that made me laugh (those are removed from the English dub -- got to be PC you know). Hardly a reason to see this piece of crap.
Bottom line: I know that die hard Lupin fans will want to see this for themselves. Otherwise, just skip this!

The only thing I would change about that last review is that there is no way I would let a five year old watch this Lupin is one of the most cliche anime characters I have ever seen It reminds me of a bad seventy's series. mixed with all the depth and thought of a James Bond plot. To put it another way just think of an inspector gadeget episode only the star is the theif. the characters are painfully deveoped and cliche down to the villian that is dramatically exposed at the end (oh oh I think scooby doo's secret is out). Don't waste your time with this folks.

This anime is ok, if your five years old, I personally found it corny and lame. They justified a lame plot, lame characters, by continously making this get stupider and stupider throughout, the animemation was smooth but too silly for me, If your into lame stuff like Castle Cagliostrio then than this is for you, but if you like anime that has a modicum of substance behind it, this anime blows goats.
