This Lupin TV special is a bit misleading with its title and the hook being on Zenigata's death as The Last Job is still pretty much your typical Lupin adventure with the gang trying to snag hidden treasure from a group of ninjas in Germany. However, not all is what it seems as the special does have some surprises regarding connections that certain characters in the movie have with one another, especially the ninja girl that Lupin tags along with to deal with the ninja clan. The special carries the typical elements you would expect of many titles in the Lupin franchise and retains the trademark action-comedy you would expect of the Lupin franchise having its fun comical moments in interactions between characters and trademark characters quirks, as well as having its thrilling and over-the-top action sequences. This is another fun TV special in the long-running Lupin III franchise to check out, so long as you aren't expecting anything different with the typical Lupin formula in The Last Job.
