Dragonball GT was a continued attempt by Toei to cash in on the popularity of the Dragon Ball franchise by attempting to blend the humor of the original Dragon Ball series with the action-heavy elements brought about from Dragon Ball Z. Instead, this leads GT to be a worst mess than DBZ in many ways as it heavily recycles plot and humor elements used from both the mentioned past titles and is much worst in maintaining any sort of plot consistency than its prior two titles. It also carries the same weaknesses as the mentioned two titles with relishing too heavily in the worst elements of the shounen battle-action genre (dragged-out fights, characters getting too full of themselves with their power, recycled animation, etc...) and not offering anything new to the Dragon Ball franchise as a whole, especially as its continuity in the franchise is later disregarded for the later movies and Dragon Ball Super that came along over 15 years later. Overall, it's mostly skippable as it offers little new for fans of the Dragon Ball franchise to get into.

Oh yeah the final Dragon Ball may not be the best but it had the best action. This one gets a rent though. There are some reasons why I didn't give it a buy. First off only 64 episodes was a sad dissapointment to all Dragon Ball fans, thats not the worst part though. The big reason that pulls this series back is the big amount of things going on in each episode. There is so much going on. I have to say its like Pirates 2. Too much crap is going on to understand. Also the characters lost a lot of their personality. The main one being my favorite character Trunks. He has been woosed down and is a total wimp. Besides that this has a lot of positives. The action is fantastic. Also while there is a lot going the series concludes great. The last episode blew me away! The special with a new future person Goku Jr. was great as well. Though I prefer Dragon Ball Z over this its still a great, but short series that Dragon Ball fans should not pass up.

When i first watched this being an extreme DBZ fan I was highly dissapointed as the story was out of proportion and wasn't even actually made by Toriyama in the first place. But after a while I learned just to enjoy it and not too take it too seriously and appreciate for what it is. That way this is a very good series and I've watched it loads of times. It still doesn't compare to DBZ. They also made no use of my favourite charcter, Picollo, Tien also doesn't do anything and Pan is also an annoying character at times. Not too shaby. I thought that its a good series especially when Goku goes SSJ4 and when he fuses with Vegeta. The battles that Kari thought were pointless and "drawn out" weren't bad. NOTE TO KARI: Have a more open mind and realize this, the "drawn out" battles are the only reason most people watch the show. If you liked DBZ, this is a Cell saga with much more action. Although the music isn't great, it's a good show. Note: the english version isn't that good if that's what these guys are talking about. It's missing half of the episodes and really is a dissapointment. I watched the japanese version and it is a whole 64 episodes of fun.

The last and the worst of all. In DBZ we learned of this Super-Sayain and now in GT Goku reaches the 4th level transformation...I mean if in level one he was able to destroy the whole solar system without much of a problem what would they need even more power?
