the original Gundam series focused on a unit of Zeon engineers who test prototype weapons for the military which takes place during some of the major events of the One Year War. The title's strongest focus is how the unit has to put up with the fact that they are testing weapons that they know full well will never be put into production by the military yet they pride themselves to assure that the weapons had some effective use when tested on the battlefield against Federation forces. Like the several titles I've already seen in the UC continuity of Gundam, this series isn't afraid to show off the harsh realities of war as no one is safe from being a casualty in MS IGLOO, not even the engineer unit when they're out on the battlefield. Also since this movie does refer to some of the major events in the One Year War, expect a couple cameo appearances from Char's Red Zaku unit and the RX-78 Gundam. This is the first Gundam title in the franchise I've seen thus far to be completely animated in CG and the quality is hit or miss. While animation is fluid where I couldn't find any noticeable shortcuts with scenery and mecha designs looking well rendered in CG, the rendering of human characters looked a bit rough in their quality, notably with facial movements. Two other things I have to bring up with MS IGLOO are that it isn't too character focused thus you won't learn too much about the individual members of the 603rd Technical Evaluation Unit and you will need to have completed the original series to follow along with the events that take place and what is discussed throughout the series. Otherwise if you are a sap for anything involving the Universal Century continuity to the Gundam franchise, you can't go wrong with giving MS IGLOO a shot.

(one episode watched) Watching a gundam show from the zeon side is a treat for me...I just finished the first episode and I loved it!!! The CGI was so good, my daughter insisted upon watching it...The Red Zaku never looked better...I am ready to knock out the rest of this series... (finished!) Wow, do I feel incomplete...But I loved every minute of it...I am glad they made a second series of MS IGLOO. I still have no clue what MS IGLOO means, but the story of Oliver May and how he is an engineer and not a Mobile Suit pilot is VERY cool. It was cool to see the GMs in CGI, but I hate Balls!!! The story of the Zudah was great! I think I would have liked them just as much as Zaku's...If I have a complaint, it is there are NO RIK-DOMs...My favorite Zeon Mobile Suit...But I think I will live...Plus seeing as this is supposed to be UC0079, maybe they were not made yet...Can't wait to watch the continuation...This show is a BUY!!! all the way... Ok, so I stumbled upon this, and am going to have to find time to watch it...I guess they were only showing this for a while in the Bandai Museum in Japan so it should be good...At least it shows the Zeon side...which is far more interesting than the Feds if you ask me...
