MS IGLOO Apocalypse 0079 continues the MS IGLOO series of OVAs with exploring the developments of a team of Zeon technical builders of prototype military mecha and weapons utilized by their forces. The OVA explores the team during the final points of the One Year War against Federation forces as the team find themselves enveloped in a major conflict of the conclusion to the war. There is some drama in the second OVA of the series when one of the siblings of the crew members get entangled in the war fighting as a pilot. But otherwise, it builds up to its inevitable conclusion for the Universal Century timeline for the Gundam franchise and the majority of relevant characters among the crew have minimum fleshing out and development. The CGI animation employed from the prior two MS IGLOO OVAs is retained here, with the rendering looking better polished as character movements and gestures look more lifelike compared to their stiff rendering from earlier MS IGLOO renditions. Overall, a decent quickie of a Gundam title if you are interested in seeing how the One Year War looked from the Zeons' perspective in terms of technological progress and tragedy.

The conclusion to the MS IGLOO saga was AWESOME!!! Lots of fighting in CGI, lots of Mecha, a mobile armor, Zakus, Zudahs, Gelgoogs and even RIK-DOMs!!! My only complaint, fixed in Apocolypse 0079...Were they listening? Probably not, but I felt priveledged to watch a RIK-DOM in battle in CGI. The story line got incorporated very well with the original gundam series, it was sad to re-live the Zeon losing again...Oh well, life goes on...For anyone that likes Gundam this is a must...For everyone else, you gotta watch it too, it is that good...
