Slayers Excellent felt no different from Slayers Special in how its episodes were set up and having the same issues as said OAV series. While the first episode got laughs in from me kudos to Lina ripping on the vampire for how cliched he was, the other two episodes were once again hit or miss for me in the delivery of their laughs. Only see if you are a diehard fan of comedy anime or the Slayers anime franchise.

Although not as good as the series, this one's still a good watch. Art, Animation and Character Design The art and animation was about 2 notches better than the past 3 series. Not a whole lot of improvements really but noticable. As opposed to the previous OVA (Slayers Special), Naga has been refined a bit.... actually, Lina too. Overall character designs are about the same though. Music Nothing here really. It was more or less the same style as the series. Episode and Series Stories With some good laughs and silly antics, it's exactly what you'd expect from Lina and her world. Naga was annoying but in a fun and humorous way.... at least I got a few good laughs from her. There's no real intricate story telling here. I mean, afterall, there's not a lot to expect from an OVA. However, if you're a Slayers fan, then it's worth the watch. Overall, no real story telling but still worth it for Slayers fans. Last updated Wednesday, February 18 2009. Out of the three episodes, the first one was the best and the second two were just OK. The first episode had Lina flashback to her first meeting with Naga and the start of their odd relationship. While this episode is silly like the others, this one I actually found humorous. The other two episodes began to bore me, though there were smile moments in them too. Naga is still annoying, but her fans will still love her in this series. The TV series was so much better to me though.
