Art, Animation and Character Designs Art and animation was about the same as the rest of the previous Slayers installment, including the previous movie (Slayers Perfect). As for character designs, same as well although ever so slightly, it looks like Naga is a bit refined. Music Music? Simply read my previous Slayer posts and you'll get an idea. Episode and Series Story Hmmm, the story seemed pretty bland. There wasn't much laughs in this one either. Somewhat let down but still worth the bit of time to watch it. Overall, watch it if you must and only if you're a Slayers fan. Otherwise, go on the greener pastures. Last updated Thursday, February 19 2009. Created Thursday, February 19 2009. |
Yet another entry for the Slayer's franchise. I don't think my enjoyment of it will be going away anytime soon.||||||||

While I'm never going to be a fan of Naga, she wasn't the problem with this movie. Since The Slayers is a popular franchise, it is no wonder that the Japanese companies were eager to milk it for more yen. As a result we are given a story that is rather uninspired and humor that constantly misses the mark. The story is done like a really bad Godzilla movie. In fact, the writers partially use the Godzilla model while trying to inject elements that helped make The Slayers so popular. The combination sadly fails. Plus, there are WAY to many extra characters in this movie. None of them get names and a few get lines, but they are all a waste of time and space. Bottom line: it is always fun to hear Hayashibara Megumi at work, but sadly she's not enough to elevate this title beyond tepidity. Last updated Wednesday, December 24 2003.
