Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan serves as a sort of side story to Diamond is Unbreakable exploring the titular author's different inspirations for his creative works coming in the form of some horrific and bizarre events he experiences or hears about. Unlike the over-the-top action and comedy you'd typically experience from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, this OVA dabbles more into elements of horror with the grotesque and horrific elements to Rohan's different experiences explored in each of his stories, which offers it some fresh creative directions with what it dabbles into. Watching this OVA series still requires you to have at least seen Diamond is Unbreakable to know more about Rohan's character and the abilities of his Stand, Heaven's Door, since he usually has to resort to use of it to aid him in some of his stories. But if you are looking for a different direction to the Jojo franchise outside of its typical action-comedy, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan's focus on horror should provide a solid diversion for you.
