Street Fighter II V is an alternate take on the popular video game series that depicts different takes on many of the character from Street Fighter II. In this case, Ryu and Ken are teenagers with Chun-Li around their age and tagging along with their adventures in trekking the world to hone their fighting skills. This trek leads them to cross paths with other characters in the Street Fighter series and eventually have to confront M. Bison and the Shadaloo crime syndicate. Pretty much, the storyline to Street Fighter II V is as basic as you can get and is even comparable to a shounen action-adventure title in how its story progresses. Obviously, it takes many liberties with story elements to characters in the series such as Cammy being a freelance assassin, Sagat being on friendly terms with Ryu and Chun-Li's father still being alive. The visuals to it are standard mid-90s quality for a TV anime with characters being either mostly or loosely similar to their designs from the Street Fighter video game series and the animation making regular use of shortcuts during fight scenes. There isn't really much that is memorable about II V in comparison to its more well-known and much more faithful film adaptation. Unless you're a diehard action anime fan, there's nothing worth seeing here.
