Yagate Kimi ni Naru
(Three episodes watched):|
A Girl's Love anime. Perhaps because girls aren't as aggressive as men when it comes to love and sex, and because we get a good introduction to both main characters and see that they are almost certainly harmless and trustworthy people (and because they are girls), I could enjoy this show a good deal more than most Boy's Love anime. Episode one does little more than introduce the basic premise--what do you do when a popular girl in school, who has rejected something like ten confessions from boys, suddenly confesses to you? I have little idea what Yuu will do, but I'm eager to find out.
Episode one titillated me, but episode two seemed very pedestrian in comparison. It's almost as if both girls have backed away from the awkward and emotionally charged situation they found themselves in previously. I don't sense any sort of looming problem, which is kind of boring. I hope things will get intense again fairly soon. In episode three the election for student body president injects a little tension. Feelings between Nanami and Yu are evolving, though it wasn't completely clear to me in what ways.
