Those that come across these ancient artifacts (seeds) are granted unholy power which comes at an immense 'cost'. Blessed with astounding magic power and having her life turned inside-out in an instant, Nanoha agrees to assist Yuuno in his quest, only to discover another young mage who has something else in mind for the seeds....

A grand tale unfolds filled with new discoveries, hardship, and the story of two young girls whose destined conflict may change the fate of the universe. A legendary struggle ensues...

The ties that bind are set into motion, as Nanoha and Fate begin their predestined trial...

Bravo...Outstanding...Encore...

Once again, true to its nature, the Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha series strikes again with another presentation that demands to stand among the best. This movie adaptation brings us back to the first encounter between Nanoha and Fate. As the moment that started it all, the viewer is treated with the best there is to offer: top-tier shounen action, tear-inducing drama, a spellbinding story-line, controversial abuse elements, and a deep friendship that is established at the purest foundation level. All my memories of the prior seasons of the anime came rushing back and only served to reinforce the fun I had watching Nanoha and Fate again. This movie was everything I could've asked for and then some. A blessed experience if I ever had one. Brilliant...

I'll admit, I was worried when I initially realized they had to cram 13 episodes into 1 movie. That fear, however, was quickly thrown out the window once I began watching (probably due to a piece of myself becoming enthralled). The best way to describe it would be with the notion of "trimming the fat" (if you will). Normally, we would lose development or they would have to cut out certain elements, but this wasn't the case this time. The powers that be were still able to portray Nanoha's heavenly kindness, Fate's infinite loneliness, as well as keep the other characters true to their nature. I was extremely pleased to see how it all turned out. It was a sight to be proud of for any fan. Commendable...

I'll reserve the specs of this movie until its Western high-definition release due sometime this mid-November, 2010. I can easily rest assured that it'll look and sound simply astounding!

The elements of the anime were carried over with seamless transition. They all resurface with exemplary precision: Fate's unrelenting resolve, the 21 jewel seeds, Alicia and Precia Testarossa, The Garden of Time, Al Hazard, Nanoha's easy-going nature and saint-like kindness, Arf and Yuuno irreplaceable roles, the intelligent devices Raising/Raging Heart and Bardiche with their full-blown English language (favorite moments), the signature spells like Star-Light Breaker and Thunder-Smasher (still gives me goose bumps), Chrono and Lindy with the Time-Space Administration Bureau, etc, etc, etc. It's just like I remembered it from the series with refreshingly new transformation sequences and battle scenes paired with bigger explosions. Even the famous ending that had most people in tears was kept completely intact. I found myself tearing up several times during the movie out of sheer enjoyment and happiness. The ending itself put me in such a deep emotional state that I had to take a brief moment to gather my composure before anything else. It was that serious for me. The reminisce factor runs on high for the entire movie. Marvelous...

All in all, this movie was epic. Any fan of the series would go nuts over this reboot. As with all legends in anime, I believe, more so now than ever, that the Nanoha franchise will continue to withstand the test of time and will continue producing/creating quality entertainment productions whether it be movies, or new anime series. This title gets an instant 10/10 for an amazing experience, C.A. factor, and proving that "you can teach an old dog new tricks". A first day purchase indeed and easily the biggest anime movie of the year. I can easily say that I would re-watch this movie again and again and to make it even better - I'll be re-watching the anime series just for kicks.

Special Note: I gotta give a big shout out to the angel that allowed me the honor of seeing this title ahead of time. Thank you Yuki_Giou...
