(Watch-/ Avoid+)

The three assistants to Mouse pretty much behaving like sluts to get their master's attention very nearly led me to rate this a complete Avoid rating, but I barely rated this a Watch instead since they don't hog much screen time fortunately. Otherwise, the series is mostly focused on exploring Mouse's thefts, exploring how each of his assistants became acquainted with him and crossing paths with a rival syndicate trying to off him for his thefts. There's enough substance to this to have a plot, but I could care less about it since the series was re-hashing cliches common with titles centered around thieves like Lupin III and the way Mouse and his crew steal stuff got ridiculously over-the-top to take too seriously. Also doesn't help that the animation to the show felt like it was made on a limited budget with how crude and rough the designs of characters were and the nice number of apparent animation shortcuts there are. Mouse isn't the worst anime I've seen by a long shot, but there's nothing that really sticks out with it and is a rather dull affair.

I have to say, for an anime series, this was really short. After I watched the first few episodes, I felt that it was rushed too far. Talk about solving problems in a mere few minutes. Beyond that, I hate to see a series that has a lot of potential fall short like this one. Even though the story is about an famous thief named 'Mouse' and he's known to steal just about anything no matter how difficult the task is, it fell short on trying to figure out what the character's motives were. Furthermore, it really lacked depth. It just was too short for anything. I did like how they tried to squeeze some history with Mouse and the girls but it was the lack of sufficient time that got to me. Each episode ended like a flash of lightning. If it was up to me, I'd have the entire series revamped and of course longer. I really don't like to see something like this fall flat on its back because of short episodes and even shorter background. I would say avoid, but it wasn't bad enough to give it that rank.

When I first saw this title, the first name to jump out at me and make me buy it was Satoru Akahori, the creator. Akahori's titles always have over-the-top fanservice, which led me to check this one out. While the storyline and action are good, especially if you like spy/espionage plotlines, there's not enough action and the series is too short to get anything going...each episode only runs about 12-13 minutes, too bad because just when the action gets going, it's over. This one's mostly about the hero's three lovely slaves, two of which have ridiculously huge boobs, and their attempts to please their master and be ridiculously bouncy at the same time. Generally it's borderline ecchi with some nudity, but in Episodes 7 & 8 there actually are some semi-explicit sex scenes and full nudity to boot, which should keep you interested. And they wear revealing enough outfits to justify calling them fanservice, and they're clumsy enough to boot.

While it's a nice fun series with enough fanservice and big busts, there's only enough action & depth in the storyline to make this a rental unless you can get it cheap.

Hmm is this a cross between King of Bandits Jing and Eiken with a touch of DNAngel and Lupin III?

Squeek (Mouse / Squeek, get it) is the legendary thief Dark...err Mouse. He goes around announcing the items he will steal (Just like DN Angel and Lupin and Jing) and is followed around by his 3 assistants two of whom have the most enormous breasts this side of Eiken.

Why do 2 of his girls have big boobs? I don't know. I didn't really understand why the 3rd one is even there, I think I slept through her story episode (The mind xfer one). Why does he steal? I don't know. Why is his nemisis a man who cannot ever die. I don't know. Watching this was mostly for fanservice. Mouse gets drunk at one point and does like 100 girls at the same time and his 3 don't mind. (Yeah right).

Watching a story like this made me appreciate Jing and DN Angel a hell of a lot more. Watch it for entertainment (Sorta) but at least it's better than Eiken.

Mouse taught me a very important lesson about impulse purchases, and since I bought Mouse, I now know better than to buy something just because it's on the store's shelf.

If I didn't know better, I'd think Mouse was created from the fantasies of a horny kid. The character designs are for fan service and nothing more. You have the blond, genius math teacher with huge breasts, by the name of Mei Momozono. Then there's Yayoi Kuribayashi, the bespectacled brunette with huge breasts, who's also a school nurse. Finally there's Hazuki Kakio, the green-haired, childlike P.E. coach...a little something for all the perverts. I wonder why the writer didn't just make this an Adult Feature, since he clearly made no attempt to give Mouse a sensible story line, or any character development.

Even though the DVD cover should have given me a clue, I had no idea what Mouse was about, and I certainly didn't think a show with this type of content would be placed on a shelf where any little kid with cash could buy it.

Mouse is about Sorata Muon, a 20 year old art instructer and thief, and his scantily clad sidekicks/sexslaves. Each of the episodes are no longer than 13 minutes long, and after watching all 12 episodes of Mouse, I can't recall a single one that made any sense. I just wasn't entertained.

Mouse has a great soundtrack, even though Haruko Momoi sounds about 6 years old, I still love Under17's music. I recommend buying the Mouse soundtrack and avoiding the series. If you want to watch a good series about an untouchable thief, buy Lupin III.

It was a very funny and cute Anime, My boyfriend and I have watched it many times. You never quite know what you'll here, obviously you aren't going to want to watch with with children but it's still good. The costumes were quite cute I think, even if they were fanservice. The ending song is so cute "M-M-m.o.u.s.e!" Sooo Cuuute >^.^<

12 episodes of about 13-14 minutes each, minus opening and ending credits, giving about 10 minutes worth per episode or 2 hours total of anime.
I recommend this series. It is light hearted and doesn't pretend to be something anything other than what it is - a lot of fun!
I happen to like the opening and ending songs very much. They fit the anime spot on.
The characters, while very bouncy and not the most original in the world, are by no means bland and unengaging. They each have their own personality, in as much as can be explored in an anime so short.
The costumes are pure fanservice, but in my opinion that does not make them bad by default. They're pleasing to the eye - which is more than I can say for girls in school uniforms piloting huge mechas O.o;; Or people wearing ridiculously flowing capes or special suits with "mystery" apparel and other useless crap on them, hehe.
Bottom line - if you're like me, you won't get offended by the fan service, you will accept that 10 minutes a piece doesn't leave much room for a dense plot (some story lines are 2 eps long), and ultimately you will have a ball watching this funny and fast paced anime.

Avoid 5 5 3 6 5 Allaryin [series:486#538]
I am thoroughly unimpressed at how little plot they put into each episode. I have described it as 90% fan service and 10% Lupin rip-off. Episodes feel much shorter than they actually are, probably for this reason. I also wouldn't go so far as to call the women beautiful... they're malproportioned hentai objects.
The show has one good feature that I can think of. The closing song belongs in DDR (even if it is only 60 seconds long, 90 being the norm) and is accompanied by a fairly funny little animation.

Okay, this series is more ecchi than funny. It's a short anime... but then maybe that's a good thing. No real plot, just big breasted women and the one man they work for. ^^;
