Well, I did not think this was a brilliant anime, as I had heard, but it was an OK one. The premise is actually pretty familiar: Hajime was once a violin prodigy, tutored by his father who was a famous violinist. But when his father had an affair and broke up with his mother, Hajime abandoned his promising prospects as a musician out of anger. Now, the notion of a school orchestra is presented to him; he had always planned to be a solo performer, so this is an original and intriguing idea. No doubt he will redicover his love for the violin and make new friends as well. So, another case of the burnt-out talent that will be revived. I did not notice anything remarkably good or bad about episode one. If I were not already swimming in new anime this season I might watch this one, but since I am I can't be certain that I will.
