Shin Nouzen and his last four comrades of the highly effective Spearhead unit are missing and presumed dead. Their former 'Handler', Vladilena 'Lena' Milize, had been demoted as a result of her unusual respect for the despised lower caste personnel, but has been assigned a new set of replacements and has rebuilt the unit. It turns out that Shin and the others aren't dead after all, but rather have found their way to the Giad Federacy, a previously unknown country that is also at war with the Legion. Provisional President Ernst Zimerman has taken a distinct interest in them, for reasons which are not yet evident. |

Rein Shroud was a Beast Tamer in the party of the hero Arios Orlando. He thought he had earned the trust of his fellow members, but they unceremoniously expel him for being of little use in actual combat (Beast Tamers are unsuited to that). Rein decides to take up a new occupation as an adventurer, and while taking the test to become one he meets Kanade. She is a rare 'Cat Spirit', and a member of an 'Ultimate Species', and gladly enters a contract with Rein. She brings something to his attention that he had been unaware of: his skills as a Best Tamer are actually quite extraordinary. |

Legend has it that a ghost resides in the third stall of the third-floor girls' bathroom in the old school building. If you knock three times, you can summon the ghost, which will grant wishes though it will demand something in return. Student Nene Yashiro decides to take the risk in order to jumpstart her dormant love life. One would think that since this is a girl's restroom this would likewise be the ghost of a female student, but Nene finds that is not exactly the case. |

Unevaluated |
The Akatsuki Special Ward within Tokyo has been forsaken by its country and is now beyond the law's reach. The only semblance of law and order is provided by a handful of 'Scards', who are fighters who are virtually immune to bullets. The most famous and revered is Eiji Arashiba, a cool, cigarette smoking dude who brandishes two revolvers. One of his admirers is Kai Yamato, a sort of informal security guard who provides for his younger brother. Little did Kai suspect that one day he would not only meet Eiji, but would be obliged to replace him as the main defender of Akatsuki. |
