Another one of these kinds of titles, R-15 is yet another mindless ecchi title whose premise is a thinly veiled excuse to have our doormat of a male lead giving into his perversions of gawking at a number of archetypal female students at a so-called "school for geniuses" where he's an erotic writer. Panty shots, girls in revealing attire or undressed states, lewd fantasies, nude shots and compromising predicaments are the norm in this series as our hapless male lead gets acquainted with the mentioned cliched female characters as he uses his lewd thoughts of them as material for his erotic writing. Unless you're a fan of stuff like this, keep away at any costs.

(One episode watched): Let me get this straight: an author of pornographic novels is accepted into a school for gifted students. R-15 hardly makes a lick of sense. What the hell is the deal with this show? It seems that it can't decide whether it wants to be dirty or funny, and as a result isn't really either. Example: a branch breaks off a tree, falls and clobbers Takuto over the head--now everybody knows that that's funny, don't they? There might, might, might be a ray of hope in that (if I'm not reading too much into this) Takuto runs into a particular girl who seems to summon healthy feelings of love rather than the usual erotic ideas for his next book. But on second thought, who am I kidding? Anime don't make money with wholesome, meaningful plots like that. R-15 is a piece of crap and I am done with it.
