This OVA for the Votoms franchise appears to be set over 30 years following the events of the TV anime as we get reunited with Chirico's old companions of Vanilla, Cocona, and Boleuse as they try to locate Chirico's whereabouts and get dragged into a conflict with yet another religious order on planet Quent. While the first half has its fun moments seeing Chirico's companions and seeing what our lead had been up to following the events of Shining Heresy, the plot for this feels like a rushed and hacked up spin on Chirico's conflict with the Secret Society from the original series, including the return of an old foe Chirico encountered from the show's final story arc. Overall, perhaps the weakest installment of the Votoms franchise I've seen thus far and one I'd find hard to recommend rewatching more than once.
