Yumeiro Patissiere plays up many of the familiar storytelling and character tropes within shoujo titles involved with Ichigo's efforts to become a successful pâtissière with the fairy companions that a number of the characters at the academy have, all having their character types they largely stick with, and some occasions of bullying or sabotage involved to create some sort of superficial stakes within the storytelling. There is effort to provide some sort of backstory with a number of the major characters within the series that work to varying degrees, though this largely doesn't change up much with how the characters otherwise develop in terms of personality and capabilities. If you're into shoujo titles attempting to be inspirational with the stories they dabble into and love the typical tropes of titles within the demographic, you may feel at home with this series. But for the most part, must sadly admit this wasn't my cup of tea.

Hummm ... the series Kin'iro no Chord is a girl's "neo romance" anime story about a simple girl who attends a music academy where she encounters a 'music fairy' who helps her learn about music and find romance. Ichigo Amano is an aspiring pastry chef who enrolls in an elite culinary school for sweets where she encounters magical fairies who help her with her cooking skills.
