This second entry in the Laughing Under the Clouds Gaiden film trilogy explores how the twin Fuma brothers, who served as the antagonists of the TV anime, would go on to become leaders of their ninja clan and offers perhaps the darkest material within the franchise considering the tragedy faced by the brothers due to the manipulations of their clan's elder leader, but still making for effective drama. The final two minutes of the film end inconclusively due to a new plot development facing the Kumo brothers as they seemingly confront a new incarnation of the Orochi coming to be. But this should at least get more insight in the last Gaiden film that I am planning to dabble into next.
