Matsuno household has six naughty and mischievous sons (who are sextuplets), led by the eldest Osomatsu. They were grade schoolers back in the Shouwa period, but despite of still living in the same old household, the street view as well as the life style of modern day society have changed drastically.

(Two episodes watched):

This is a strange show and I wasn't sure what to make of it until after I watched two episodes--actually, I'm still not sure. It seems to be either a sequel or a parody of a 1960s anime, with the then child characters being adults today, although their bodies have matured faster than their brains. Since I have never seen the original series, I can't be certain what's going on here. Perhaps the best analogy I can draw is that this might be similar to Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast, which was a modern day absurdist reboot of an undistinguished 'sixties Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Osomatsu-san might be more fun to those who are familiar with the original incarnation; I found it to be amusing at times, with fun jokes regarding other well-known anime in episode one, but automatically confusing and kind of tedious in episode two. Nevertheless, I will watch some more.
