The tiger-girl Taiga and the baka-chi(huahua) Ami have yet another pointless fight over..... Tarako spaghetti. So together with Ryuuji, they take a trip to a local family restaurant where the ever-competitive Midori somehow manages to muddle everything up and starts a SPAGHETTI BATTLE! (ep. 1)

This parody has the Toradora crew going animal-chibi to offer a short (5 min) distraction.

Parody spinoff of Toradora!.
4 OVA eps (~5 min) with only minor deviations in the story: episode 1 = ↗Tarako spaghetti, episode 2 = ↗purin, episode 3 = curry (with Yuri-sensei), ep. 4 = corned beef (featuring Ami-chan).

The 'SOS' stands for "Strawberries on Shortcake", as explained in episode 1.

Four times basically the same story, with simplified characters blabbering unnecessary facts, weak puns, and surprisingly weak animation. While the series was decent these add-ons are just barely above an "Avoid" rating.

Normally I don't go for any anime until I do a fair amount of research to see if it's worth my time. That's why all my scores never fall below the "6" mark in any given category. This review deviates from my normal review "format" (see my other reviews), and was an exception....

Okay, so yes, this was absolutely stupid and "almost" a waste of time. However, the "almost" is the keyword. It really depends on if you loved the series or not. I myself thoroughly enjoyed the series, so watching this through made it slightly bearable.

As a few had mentioned below, this grossly failed at trying to be funny. It might be "cute" but that's the extent. But nevertheless, it was still slightly enjoyable watching the crew of Toradora interact around a plate of spaghetti.

Overall, nothing to point out here. Ok to watch if you're a fan but even then, when you have spare time.

The Tiger and the Dragon are at it again - this time it's ... Tarako Spaghetti?

watching now... 1 ep watched...

First off, it's a continuation attempt, so that's an instant plus with me. (^_^)

With that being said, the only thing I can say is that it's Toradora, so that makes it worth seeing. Regardless of how dumb (and I mean retarded) this omake was, it was still cool to see the gang animated like that.

Did anyone else notice the "To Be Continued..." message at the end? Whatever could that mean I wonder... (LOL)

The 2nd second ep is out now in raw form. Only a little longer until subbed release...

Never forget Xenosaga.

I had hoped for something along the lines of the Shana-tan series, where Shana from Shakugan no Shana is super-deformed and placed into a parody bit about the actual series. While the five main characters from Toradora! are all super deformed, unfortunately there is an attempt to be funny which fails to be funny. Looking at the imagery, one would expect some level of humor, but I never found it. Instead, I found myself thinking, "Come on! Where are the funny jokes?" Maybe I need to be Japanese to appreciate this, I don't know. There was just nothing funny about a spaghetti eating contest. I realize those long-winded dialog moments were supposed to be funny in a weird sort of way, but they were just tedious and no amount of chibi characters moving around in the background could save it.

The end of the episode indicates there's more. Not sure about that, but if there is, hopefully the writers will try to be funny.

I watched this a couple of days ago, and since then my memories have dimmed a little. The thought occured to me that I could always rewatch it before posting my review, since it is only five minutes or so long. But another, more powerful thought immediately came to me: no, it's not worth rewatching, even if it is so short. I guess that is the most telling comment I can make about Toradora SOS. It made me smile but not laugh out loud, and even the first time around I was impatient for it to end. Since I've been losing interest in the TV series, it was hard to summon much for this omake feature.

Being an omake for Toradora!, this ONA will have fans of the series going giddy. Taiga and Ami's rivalry lead them off to a spaghetti battle with silly results. Because of the comedy of this ONA, the characters have been "chibi-fied" and there is limited animation to be found in this short. In addition, the main female characters have either animal ears or a flower sprouting from their head to signify their names or nicknames.

This omake will only be worthwhile if you want a brief change of style to the comedy present in Toradora. Don't go expecting any developments in plot or characters to be found in this short.
