Takumi Miyasaka responds to an ad that says a place known as Astro Lodge is hiring a chef. He finds there has been something of a misunderstanding--Astro Lodge is a modest boarding house, not a restaraunt. But the tenants are appalled by the terrible cooking landlord Mira Gotokuji provides them, and Takumi finds her to be enchantingly beautiful. When they point out that she is single and has no boyfriend, he accepts the job. When he overhears a conversation he mistakenly draws the conclusion that Mira is a widow, which dashes his hopes. But the truth is even stranger: Mira in fact is a Princess from the planet Wid. |

Superb pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and catcher Kei Kaname were once so dominant in middle school baseball that they were known as the 'Diabolical Battery' because they demolished the pretensions of countless players who thought they might be something special. Everyone wondered what High School would have the good fortune to enroll them. Taro Yamada was once utterly humiliated by the two and gave up baseball altogether. He has enrolled at Tokyo Kotesashi High School, a school that supposedly doesn't have a baseball team at all. To his great surprise Kiyomine and Kaname both show up at opening day ceremonies as well. But Kaname has changed--the boy who was once utterly calm and composed now has a goofy, undisciplined persona. It turns out that he has amnesia and cannot remember anything about his days as a promising catcher. It also turns out that this school does have a baseball team after all. |

'Forgettable, run-of-the-mill' high school student Ken Usato was loaned an umbrella on a rainy day by Student Council president Suzune Inukami and vice-president Kazuki Ryusen, who he would otherwise never dare to approach. While walking home with them the two elite students hear what sounds like bells ringing, but Usato hears nothing. The three are engulfed by a magical circle that appears beneath them, and after losing consciousness awaken in the throne room of King Lloyd of Llinger. The King explains that they have been summoned to serve as heroes who will defend Llinger from a demon lord who threatens it. Sure enough, a test of magical ability shows that Inukami and Ryusen have just what it takes to be heroes, but Usato's test leads to unexplained amazement and consternation among the King and his staff. Usato is abruptly snatched and spirited away by Rose, leader of the Kingdom 'Rescue Team' to become her apprentice. |
