(Two episodes watched):

While he's not a pervert, Takuma seems to have given up all hope of ever marrying a real woman (if he ever had any) and seems perfectly satisfied with an artificial one. It looks like a number of additional characters will join the story at some point. Perhaps Takuma will find himself forced to choose between a real live woman and Mina eventually. Because this site was down for several weeks, I don't remember all that much about my initial impressions regarding this show, but perhaps I'll watch some more. I wonder if the guy really will fall in love with a robot and how that would play out.

In episode two Takuma proposes that they go on a little picnic to a nearby park. Mina's batteries don't last long however, especially on cloudy days. She has a useful small refrigerator/oven in her belly, it turns out. But questions like 'Is it healthy for me to become attached to a robot?' or 'why do people fall in love in the first place?' don't turn up and I suspect they never will. The jokes are not exactly hilarious and the show doesn't seem to be eager to delve deeply into emotions. Maybe Mina is too primitive--if she were programmed to act more like an actual woman it would be easier to see how Takuma might fall in love with her.
