Chou Henshi Cos Prayer

Sometimes I wonder why a series is created. This is such a series. As I try to write this, I wonder why this was made. I'm still scratching my head.

I rarely give "Avoid" ratings, but really, while visually this looked fine, the story was very weak. Due to the nature of the series, we are given no time to understand what kind of world the Cosprayers live it. At first it seems like normal Earth, but then Koto gets a magic watch, the Earth changes, and then she has to rapidly change into a miko who has the power to help the Cosprayers defeat the evil and return the world back to "normal." So we are left with a jumbled mess for a story which moves at a pretty rapid pace taking no time to explain anything.

Other than Koto advancing in power, none of the characters are given any development. In fact, I don't know anything about the characters. I don't know why they are together. I don't know why they do what they do. I don't know where they get their magic powers. In fact, I don't know much of anything. What kind of show is that?

There's a fair bit of fanservice in this title. While it doesn't cross into the ecchi realm, I kept thinking that I was watching something that was originally designed to be a hentai title but for some reason was changed into a regular TV series.

Bottom line: even though this is very short, there's really no point in wasting your time in watching this. Had there been more time for the series, maybe the writers could have done more with this and made it better.
