Take a look "behind the scenes" of Chou Henshi Cos Prayer as if it had been a live-action title. Mitsuki Ikuta's life-long dream is to produce a detective movie. However, she is chosen to be the producer of the new kids action series, Cosprayers. Deeply disappointed, she considers quiting, but when her co-worker and superior "Dracula" thinks she's not up to the task, she decides to take the possition. Can Mitsuki handle her new role as producer? Will people ever take her seriously? Will her panties ever not be exposed?

The story here is more interesting than Cosprayers ever was, mainly due to the look at what goes into making a TV series from a producers point-of-view. Even still, I was glad that each episode was only 12-minutes in length because anything more would have bored me to death.

One of the main weaknesses of Smash Hit! is that it is a fanservice fest. Every excuse in the book is made to show off girls panties or have them in swimsuits. Part of this comes from the "filming" of Cosprayers but a lot of it comes from girls wearing short skirts. Then there are several shower scenes as well.

However, there is marginal interest in watching a series start from an approved series idea to production to completion. Many of the factors that go into changing a script or direction of a series are looked at including network executives changing their minds, sponsors wanting this or that, merchandicing, etc. Even in a bad series, there are hard working people behind the scenes. Still, this wasn't enough to elevate this beyond "Watch".

Bottom line: if you suffered through Cosprayers, you might as well see this too.
