(One episode watched):

Several minutes into episode one of this show I took a note: 'No laughs yet!'. No matter how you look at it, in order to succeed a comedy has got to be funny, but quality humor is in short supply and not much of it was invested in this show. Another note I took: 'Oh God--stupid misunderstandings'. Much of the supposed humor is based on word play and errors that only an idiot could make--like when Tomo's account of karate training she has done with Jun (her father runs a dojo) is mistaken for an account of their sexual exploits. A real person would quickly realize that he/she had gotten something wrong. I started watching thinking that maybe Tomo was some sort of cross-dresser who was keeping her actual gender secret for some reason, but no, everyone who knows her is well aware of her sex. So, no danger of her being exposed and humiliated or anything like that, just weak jokes. With the humor this mediocre this show needs more of a premise than a girl who wishes her old friend would fall in love with her, but needless to say it hasn't got it. I was struggling to maintain any interest even at the halfway point (it seems that each episode will consist of two separate sub-stories). I guess this show wasn't completely unfunny--I smirked once or twice at the physical humor. But there's no way I'll be watching any more of this.
