16 years ago, two newborn infants were accidentally switched in a hospital. Now, the biological parents of Erika Amano and Nagi Umino have been identified and they are about to meet them for the first time. But they find that their two sets of parents have come up with a convenient solution to the problem: if the two would just marry each other, everything would be fine.

(One episode watched):

Cuckoos, perhaps, but not very funny cuckoos. Despite Nagi going into superdeformed mode several times, I don't recall laughing at all during episode one. And the plot seemed pretty predictable (judging from their hair colors alone it was very easy to guess what the relationship between Erika and Nagi was), which makes it even harder to be funny. The characters and plot would have needed to be exceptional for me to watch yet another of these generic, coincidence-heavy shows. Didn't anyone at the maternity ward even take note of which sex the two infants belonged to? And the 'Oops, I fondled you!' bit didn't help. The author of the original manga, Miki Yoshikawa, also wrote Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, which was a show which I enjoyed at first but my interest flagged later on. I thought about watching episode two (Nagi is competing with another girl to be the top student in his class), but dithered, and since it eventually became clear that this uninspiring show was a full two seasons long, I think I made the right call.
