When Prince Siegfried spots a beautiful swan with a crown on its head, for some reason he feels compelled to follow it. He discovers that the swan is, in fact, a princess named Odette, who is under a wizard's curse that causes her to become a swan by day. The wizard, Rothbart, wants to keep Odette to himself, and the only thing that can break the spell on Odette is a man who truly loves her, with all his heart and soul.

Sekai Meisaku Dōwa: Hakuchō no Mizuumi
Swan Lake is another of Sanrio's older anime films aimed for a family audience and being adapted from the famous Russian ballet performance. You could think of it being the equivalent of a fairy tale as the storytelling focused on a prince rescuing a princess from an evil magician being milked throughout the film's 74-minute run and is as cliched as you can get with drawing influence from the classic stories of lore. The classic musical pieces accompanying the film are a nice fit for it considering the film's roots in ballet, though the animation is obviously dated. Overall, might be something of interest to younger audiences considering the Western inspirations behind the premise and storytelling.
