Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin
This third series of Nanatsu no Taizai continues its focus on the escalating conflict between the Sins and the Demon Clan from its prior season. While things continue escalating in the conflict, a good chunk of the first half to the series does dabble into exploring the origins of how the conflict with the Demon Clan originated, the origins of the Goddess Clan that threatened them, and the beginnings of Meliodas and Elizabeth's relationship from her earliest reincarnation. This does help add more depth to the conflict as it shows the Demon Clan have more dimension to them beyond being typical villains seeking global conquest. However, this probably could have been condensed some as it did feel as if some stuff was dragged out with exploring the origins of the conflict. A notable sore spot with this season is that Studio Deen took over animation production of the series and this shows with the animation usually getting inconsistent with character and scenery designs. Plus, the series is still inconclusive as the conflict with the Demon Clan still continues, though seems to be building up to a conclusion with its recent events and should be wrapping up in the fourth series for the franchise that premieres in October. In spite of some hiccups, would still say I was entertained with this third Deadly Sins series and look forward to seeing its conclusion when it resumes its run in October.
