Continuing where its first season left off, this new season of Seven Deadly Sins features the revival of a group of demons called the Ten Commandments who seek to take over control of Leones. This new adventure explores some major storyline developments in regards to the new threat that include the origins of Meliodas, the whereabouts of the last Deadly Sin Escanor, and a little more about Meliodas' past connections with Elizabeth that led him to betray the Ten Commandments. The series still offers a solid balance of world exploration, character focus, and creative action scenes with the power of the Ten Commandments leading things to escalate with the scale of their threat. The series still has some issues though. While Meliodas is not as carefree in this season to recognize the greater threat that the Commandments present him, he still has his on-and-off moments of molesting Elizabeth that irk me. The last several episodes of the series are rushed in their developments following a major emotional point in the anime's storyline that reduces the impact of said scene. In addition, the series is left still ongoing with the remainder of the Ten Commandments still at large due to its manga source material still ongoing as of this review. Setting said issues aside though, Revival of the Commandments is still a mostly solid continuation of Seven Deadly Sins that provides more fleshing out of Meliodas' origins, as well as cause conflict in the series to escalate with the greater threat of the Ten Commandments.
