You can think of this as CLAMP providing a homage to Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass of sorts in a more perverse light as our lead Alice finds herself going in both Wonderland and Mirrorland while occurring female versions of both stories' memorable characters who each try to get Alice to engage with them in perverted shenanigans of some sort. That's pretty much the whole selling point of this OVA series. Problem is it goes by too quickly for its attempted humor to have any kind of effect on the audience and its perverted humor rivals Chobits in being one of CLAMP's more perverted works. But whereas Chobits was worthwhile for its focus on human-persocon relationships, I can't necessarily say the same praises for this bland OVA series attempting to appeal to yuri fans. If you are a CLAMP fan, there are much better works from the mangaka group than this.

Ridiculous - Madness - Crazy

Boring and random is the only way I can describe this one.

There are no men and every girl would like a piece of Miyuki. Despite the keywords, there is no real yuri here so don't get your hopes up. There is some slight nudity but it was quick.

Yawwwwwwwn...

Despite two of my favorite seiyuu having roles in this title, I found there's absolutly nothing worth watching here. CLAMP has created a short parody of Alice in Wonderland only with yuri and shoujo-ai themes. Muyuki-chan rapidly goes from place to place to encounter scantily clad girls of various sizes (ususally very tiny doll-sized to normal-sized girls). Usually, these girls reflect on how pretty/cute/adorable Miyuki-chan is and then there are suggestive overtones done for her to engage with them in yuri activities.

I like the Lewis Carrol original and I'm not a "homophobic, bigoted conservative" as some intollerant, name-calling, holier-than-thou liberals might suggest. However, there's nothing in here worth watching IMO. I didn't even think the girls were that attractive, but that's a personal thing. I didn't find anything remotely amusing but I did see the forced attempt at humor. I watch anime for a good story, a good laugh, or the like, and not some pointless waste of 30-minutes of my life.

While I'm ranting, let me send a charge to ADV. They call the title Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, yet no matter how often she's addressed as "Miyuki-chan", the -chan honorific never seems to make it into the subtitles. I can only surmise that ADV kept the -chan in the title to help CLAMP fans find the title, but trashed it in the subtitles because we wouldn't want to confuse folks with Japanese stuff in a Japanese product.

Bottom line: Seriously, there's nothing here. CLAMP fans will of course want to check it out for themselves, but don't let this be your first CLAMP title as there are many good ones out there.

Watch Stretch [series:343#628]
A sort of ecchi Alice in Wonderland is how I'd summarize this one. No real plot or moral to the story, just a lot of weird stuff happening one after another--almost like a dream. When I saw how one "chess piece" took out another, I could only exclaim "Holy Crap!". I'm surprised that CLAMP (which the box described as "Japan's famous all-female art team") would turn out something like this. There doesn't seem to be any dub for this one. It was amusing once, but I doubt if I'll be watching it again anytime soon.

While the character designs are novel and, well, ***attractive**, the condescendingly obvious pandering to male tastes is nothing short of insulting and ludicrous. Perhaps the problem is something of pace. I saw the "Looking Glass" episode, and it took forever for anything in particular happen. ("Oh, look. Another CLAMP babe. Zzz.") I do, however, have a preview of the manga, and its traditional CLAMP style (as in "style over substance") is quite entertaining. Unburdened by plot, I can focus on the art. Hopefully, the manga is short, so it's a low-cost scantily clad fix.

Who said Clamp doesn't make titles for boys to enjoy? This two-part short 30-minute OVA is available on subtitled-only video and DVD through ADV Films. The first part shows us Miyuki(who also appears briefly in the Clamp School anime)on her way to school, when she sees a girl in a Playboy bunny outfit riding a skateboard. Miyuki is then sent into a lesbian version of Wonderland, includine an S&M queen as The Queen, a cosplaying Cheshire Cat, and an army of loveslave playing cards. Next, Miyuki is sent through the Looking Glass by her mirror duplicate and forced into a game of chess where the loser has to strip! This was based on the series of short Miyuki-chan manga stories which involved the title character being forced to go to one weird dimension after another. It's a cute little one-shot, but not intended for younger viewers.

Watch dhrachth [series:343#962]
It's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass compressed into two fifteen minute episodes--then all the original Wonderland characters are turned into lecherous women.
Miyuki stumbles from one busty woman trying to molest her to the next, without any real plot involved.
It's kind of neat to see how all the Alice in Wonderland characters were changed, but it's not a great story. This is more of a fan service novelty than it is quality tv.

Let me see here... wow, this was strange. A girl goes into another world where girls in skimpy odd looking outfits prance around.
This is supposed to be like Alice in Wonderland right? Sure the whole girl goes into another world and meets strange things part is right.
Sorry to dissapoint you folks, but I really wasn't that fond of this. No, I am not a homophobic, I am just no the type for random un-needed Yuri. Sure that's ok if there's a plot to it. You're sitting there thinking, "Alright, I know they'll get to some sort of plot soon... right?" Wrong. I'm not giving anything away. Just warning you, don't hope for much change in the theme of this show.
What I liked about the show... the art.
Overall, you can see I really didn't enjoy this. I suppose if you like lots of no plot, Yuri, Ecchi... really strange... um... you'll enjoy this.

Watch 8 6 7 7 6 Midnighter [series:343#94]
This interesting take on Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland. The redisigns of all the characters into sexy young ladies is novel, but wouldn't be enough to hold interest in the rather abismal "story." Thankfully the people behind Miyuki-Chan seem to have realized this and have kept the 2 episodes blissfully short, so that it ends while we are still amused and before we start groaning.
This is one of those "Oh my god what did they do to (insert favorite Carrol character here)?!!" However, once the shocked amusement wears off, there is little going for this anime. The constant lesbian innuendo that was cute at first becomes progressively stale as the show wears on, playing on a one-note gag that becomes less innocently funny and more disturbingly exploitive the more it's used.
The art's nice, and the backgrounds are decent, but the animation is lacking. The soundtrack is one continuous track that will stay in your head for days.
Watch Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland if you get the chance, but don't pay money for it unless you're a big Alice in Wonderland fan. While it IS amusing, it quickly becomes old and one is left disappointed that they didn't do more with it. It tries to be outrageous, but it doesn't quite succeed, as it plays as far too conventional and contrived. Homophobic, bigoted conservatives will not enjoy this anime, but fans of Lewis Carrol will definately want to check it out, and even the casual fan can enjoy the light-weight fun. Just don't expect much.
(Tip: watch Miyuki-Chan directly after the Disney Alice in Wonderland...it's fun!)
