Hinata no Aoshigure
This rather short movie tells of a simple story about a clumsy boy trying to admit his feelings to a girl in his class that he has a crush until he learns of her moving away and has to contemplate how to go about things. For a movie with a short run time of only 18 minutes, Hinata no Aoshigure makes good use of its time to explore the awkward chemistry between Hinata and Shigure as the former often escapes into his fantastical daydreams of wanting a romantic pairing with his close friend yet finds his shy and clumsy personality often stumbling in his efforts to get Shigure's attention. The news of Shigure moving away leads to a coming-of-age lesson for Hinata that can be relateable for anyone who went through a similar situation with someone around the boy's age. The daydream sequences that are mixed in as we witness Hinata's thoughts make up the animation highlight of this short as they are a visual treat and offer fluid animation with the movements of the characters. While this is a bit short for me to recommend buying it assuming it ever gets licensed, I'd still suggest you give it a look.
