Hori-san to Miyamura-kun mostly plays out as your typical slice-of-life title focused on the everyday interactions between our titular pair with light drama and comedy added to the mix. There's enough fleshing out of the two and their small circle of friends for you to know what they are like, though the short run time limits things from getting too deep and the mundane mood won't be for everyone if they detest the whole slice-of-life genre in general. Also for an OVA title, this baby is rather low budget with simple character designs and minimal details on scenic shots. It's not a bad title by any stretch, but would say it would be of a niche following since slice-of-life titles are an acquired taste.
