Iron Man was in terms of quality in this fourth TV anime in Madhouse and Marvel Comics' collaboration to adopt Marvel Comics characters. The anime revolves around Blade seeking out the whereabouts of vampire Deacon Frost and his vampire organization Existence, with the plot mostly consisting of Blade getting into fights with Deacon's vampire armies and Deacon being yet another baddie desiring world domination for his group as Iron Man and Wolverine did (minus the world domination schemes with Wolverine). Blade's character is a composite of his movie and comic versions where he retains the attire, personality and fighting equipment of his movie version and retaining the origins of his comic counterpart, retaining faithfulness to these elements of Blade's mythos. The series does devote time to focus on the origins of Blade, Deacon and one character from a prior Marvel Anime who makes a return in this series and has past ties to Blade in this animated adaptation. The presentation to this is mostly similar to Wolverine (nice-looking scenic shots and detailed character designs with animation shortcuts regularly employed in action scenes, with music regularly played throughout much of the show without regard to mood or tension). Like the prior Marvel anime titles, this is more a treat for fans of action anime and Marvel Comic fans as much else within Blade is rather forgettable.
