This quick attempt at a romantic comedy features a teenage boy taking romantic interest in an android girl who is being chased down by her cruel creators. Twenty-five minutes just isn't enough time to effectively cover the kind of elaborate story that Coicent wants to tell as Shinichi and Toto are a bit bland and unconvincing as a couple due to the lack of fleshing out and buildup with both characters and there are more than enough questions I have regarding Toto's origins such as why she was created and what benefit her creators gained from creating her. The only genuine praise I can give this series is for its impressive visual presentation with plenty of vivid and detailed shots of Nara City streets and a temple and fluid movement in many points of the short (highlights include Shinichi leaping city rooftops on a deer where he encounters Toto, Toto's clash with giant robot persuers and a parade seen at the end of the short). Unless you are looking into Coicent for its animation, this is a pretty forgettable short OVA series otherwise.
