(One episode watched):

I was given a Wedding Peach DVD as a bonus after placing an order with ADV. I presumed this would be about one or more girls who were crazy about finding the right guy and getting hitched, which is partially correct. What I wasn't expecting was the magical girl angle; I immediately got a Sailor Moon-ish vibe from this show (for some reason the station break caused scenes from Rakushou! Hyper Doll to flash across my mind). The animation is crude with garish colors--in other words, what's to be expected of a TV series that is over a decade old. The realization that it would be worthwhile to have an artist select colors that go with each other in a pleasing manner must be a relatively recent one in the world of anime. I giggled at the scenes of Momoko, Yuri, and Hanagiko's embarassment, and the three of them going superdeformed. I also laughed at the revelation of the Angel of Love, Wedding Peach--but I don't think I was supposed to here. This is like a Mahou Shoujo series targetted at little girls who look forward to falling in love and getting married. I can see where the opening for Magical Project S came from--this stuff begs to be made fun of!

My favorite line: "The Love Angel, Wedding Peach, is extremely displeased!" --Momoko

Buy Violet D [series:139#1393]
Wedding Peach has great character design and excellent animation. It is a story that is about the fight between angels and devils. There is a lesson it also teaches to others about when you love someone it doesn't matter where they are from or what race they represent. Wedding Peach shows that in this story of love and romance is sticking by the one you love. In this day and age it is nice to watch a film that can take you away from the ouside world in such away you feel good about things afterwards.

Avoid Jenn-chan [series:139#31]
I recommend this series only to hardcore magical girl series fans. While it's alot like Sailor Moon, it does have a bit of it's own charm. However, the transformations are longer and the attacks are ALOT cheesier (lily lipliner rainbow?!). The girls first must transform into wedding dresses (that's right..a bouquet and all) to build up their "love waves". THEN they transform into their love angel battle outfits, in which they use makeup and jewelry to attack their enemies. This takes about 10 to 15 minutes of each episode, making it rather boring to watch after about...oh...1 episode. The love story was your predictable "girl and guy who tease each other but really like each other and fall in love" type deal. Though extremely predictable, I'm a sucker for those type of romances so I kinda enjoyed it.
