'Conqueror' Lufas Maphaahi was once defeated by a team of heroes and sealed away for all eternity. But 200 years later a King and his advisors attempting to summon another Hero are horrified to find that they have accidentally released her. But Lufas is just as confused as they are, because her mind has been replaced by that of a male Japanese video gamer—at least in part. From his perspective he has been drawn into the MMORPG 'Exgate Online'.

(One episode watched):

This is looking fairly good. The main character, now Lufas, explains how he was the champion Exgate player and the first and only one to unite the entire continent of Mizgarz. That should have left the land at peace, so to keep the action going, the players divided themselves into two factions, that of Lufas and the 'Army of Light', and carried on. Lufas lost. The game system included a final boss, the Demon King, who never appeared. For once the main character mentions that he might like to return to Japan someday, but for now he's intrigued by this strange situation. Lufas isn't completely under his control—she chooses cool, game-appropriate, ways of phrasing the thoughts he thinks. He (or she?) describes herself in the plural (as 'we' or 'us') rather than in the singular (but doesn't anyone notice this?). Her loyal advisor Dina is still taking care of the tower from which she once ruled Mizgarz. Dina was just an NPC but she seems to have a mind of her own today. Three of the seven heroes who defeated Lufas are still alive (each of the seven founded their own nation). Lufas wonders if they, too, might be Japanese gamers and decides to find out. The twelve 'Heavenly Stars'--fearsome monsters Lufas once commanded—still exist, though Dina has lost track of six. Lufas decides her first priority will be to gather them. The two decide to head for the land of Svel, where Megrez, one of the three remaining heroes and Aries, one of the Heavenly Stars, are located. But they will need some money, so they decide to do some adventuring. Also, Dina strongly recommends that Lufas keep her identity secret. For all the fear Lufas commands, she once swore to 'eradicate all inequality and injustice'. Now and then odd thoughts cross her mind and she wonders where they came from—is the player thinking them or the character? She makes mincemeat of a large number of orcs, and like Ains in Overlord notes that curiously she feels no regret or guilt whatsoever for doing so. Visuals look good as well. So, basically what seems like a fairly complex and interesting (though not terribly original) plot that I will probably be watching in its entirety.
