Siao is an expert assassin working for the Okajima organization. He does it because his younger sister, Mao, is being held hostage by it; the deal is that he will do as Okajima says until she turns twenty, at which point both of them will be released. But when that date arrives, the new leader of Okajima attempts to betray and kill Siao, who narrowly escapes with his life. The previous leader had advised him that if he ever found himself in desperate straits, he should go to a place known as 'Hotel Inhumans', which he does. He finds it to be a refuge for 'inhuman' people like himself. And Rule #1 there is that the concierges never say 'no' to a request that a guest makes.

(One episode watched):

One of the first things I noticed about Hotel Inhumans was that the characters seemed to be either speaking in Chinese or at least with a Chinese accent. Before long I also noticed that there was no way in hell that Siao could have survived the shootout when he is betrayed. Or that blond concierge Sara Haizaki could have defeated half a dozen gun-armed thugs with nothing more than a knife. I got the distinct impression that this show was trying to thrill us with action in which bad guys get killed wholesale but not much trouble is taken to make the action realistic or believable. Sara and her coworker Ikuro Hoshi (do they comprise the entire staff of this strange hotel?) are depicted as so cool that they can thrash any number of opponents at the drop of a hat and consequently feel no fear whatsoever. It may be that they are the main characters and we are already done with Siao. But I cannot suspend disbelief enough to take this premise seriously. How does the hotel get the detailed info about an assassin who has never checked in before? Who runs it? Will there be enough killers-for-hire who are good at heart to keep this series going? It seems like a sort of trade union for assassins. In the end I found this show to be extremely weak and one of the few of this season which I could confidently write off after watching just one episode.
