Somehow I could not believe that the relationship between Saijou and Azumaya could bounce back and forth from steamy to casual as readily as it seemed to do in this show. Apparently Azumaya has banged Saijou repeatedly, but Saijou thinks little of it. He said nothing that implied that he was gay or gave his permission (he apparently felt he was being blackmailed), yet the next day hardly seems to care--and not long ago he actively hated this guy. The line "He's got a boner!" almost made me sick. Saijou isn't even confused; you might think that he would experience vague feelings of attraction to Azumaya, and struggle to make sense of them, but he just seems indifferent. I can only guess that the idea is that he has realized that Azumaya has some talent as an actor after all, and is intrigued by that to the extent that he doesn't care what happened in the man's bedroom (which is a stretch). Not an encouraging way for a romance to begin. As a result I had a hard time taking this relationship seriously and decided not to watch any more.
