Saito Hojo and Akane Sakuramori are classmates who hate each other. "Just seeing your face makes my blood boil" Akane says to Saito. But it turns out that their widowed grandparents have gotten married, and wonder what a marriage that lasted indefinitely would be like, so they have decided to pressure their grandchildren into marrying as well. Saito's grandfather is the owner of a wealthy corporation and threatens to disown him as his heir unless he complies, and Akane's grandmother whispers something in her ear which immediately makes her agree to the marriage as well.

Class no Dai Kirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta
(One episode watched):
This is stupid. The one thing that made me interested in this show was the obvious question of why in the world two teens who fervently hate each other would agree to marry. Would the answer we get make the slightest sense? And it turns out that the answer (such as it is) was very underwhelming. Saito just wants to be the wealthy head of a big company (though his greed is not emphasized), and Akane's reason isn't even revealed for now. Their grandparents apparently want to conduct some sort of experiment regarding marriage but clearly haven't conducted the slightest research--unless they want to see if it is possible to force a couple that hates each other into a happy marriage; that would have made some sense, but there is no mention whatsoever of such a thing. If the basic premise is so simplistic, will anything about this show be interesting? The jokes are not funny at all. Saito and Akane could agree that this will be nothing more than a pretend marriage and each of them is free to pursue romance with another person as long as they keep it secret. But again, these are thoughts that crossed my mind--they don't bother to think about things like this. There's clearly no reason they must sleep in the same bed. Already it seems that their mutual hatred has largely been dropped; it looks like the main problem between them was that they were competing to be the student who got the best grades. Saito's younger cousin 'Shise' adores him for some reason and vows to support him at any cost. This show is not funny at all and I don't particularly like either of these bickering teens, and therefore cannot care much whether they actually fall in love. It might be significant that in their usual season previews, as far as I could tell no one at ANN had reviewed this show.
