In the midst of a revolution, Princess Sara da Odin and her bodyguard Livia de Utis have no choice but to leap into an interdimensional portal and hope for the best. They arrive (separately) in a strange land known as 'Japan'. Sara literally lands right on top of minor detective Sosuke Kaburaya, who allows her to stay at his place and finds he can't get rid of her. Sara is shocked that the people here know nothing of magic, and concludes that her talents in that realm would make her an excellent detective in her own right.

Henjin no Salad Bowl
(One episode watched):
For a good while I have been thinking that what someone should do is make a reverse isekai anime--one in which instead of someone from Japan being whisked off to a sword & sorcery world, the reverse happens. And here we have one. But my assumption was that such a show would need to be truly original, surprising and/or genuinely funny, and Henjin- didn't strike me as meeting any of those qualifications. Perhaps the problem is that the characters aren't really all that 'eccentric'. Sara is headstrong and can use magic but other than that she doesn't seem to have any truly odd quirks. Livia is a skilled swordswoman who takes her job seriously, but otherwise is the same. Sosuke seems to be the straight man, with little personality other than his disappointment with where his career choice has led him. There's nothing really wacky about any of them. And other than the jump through the portal the premise doesn't seem to include any other twists which would make things interesting. It seems that it is already complete when it seems to me that there needs to be at least one more strange factor. And the jokes are modest at best. Going out and (magically) giving some punks a taste of their own medicine seemed like a waste of time to me when it could have been used to make the premise more complex. If this is as deep as this show is going to get, I doubt if I will be watching it for long.
