Levius has elements of steampunk and sports in its focus on its titular character attempting to learn more about the tragic events that affected him in his past from a war through the sport known as metal boxing with skilled boxers donning steamed-powered prosthetic arms to combat one another. While the series does have decent world building exploring its steampunk setting and the events leading up to Levius' pursuit of metalboxing, it largely dabbles into the typical cliches of sports anime with Levius' gifted boxing skills letting him rise up the ranks, planning for his fights, and many characters having their archetypes they largely don't grow much out of. The CG animation for the title holds up okay with fluid animation depicted well during metal boxing matches and flashbacks depicting the war Levius was victim to, though does have some issues with depicting some bodily details and looking a bit rough from certain camera angles. While nothing groundbreaking, it's still decent entertainment for a quick watch if sports anime grab your interest.
