Kumichou Musume to Sewagakari
(One episode watched):|
Here's the problem with this unusual premise: I despise Kirishima. He's a brutal member of an organized crime syndicate and shows no signs of reforming. The boss mentions at one point that one of his qualities is that he never regrets anything. His opponents are no better, and it looks like they would actually kill him if they could, which doesn't mesh well with the comedy element of this show. Which brings us to another problem: the jokes are not all that funny either. The way Kirishima humiliates a subordinate for an offhand remark was apparently supposed to amuse us, but it only made me hate him more. And we don't know Saeka very well either; her mother seems to be in a coma in a hospital, but she doesn't speak much and it's sort of hard to feel sorry for her when her father is a powerful criminal. For all these reasons this show never really struck me as interesting and I decided not to watch any more.
