Michio Kaga was trying out a new sword & sorcery video game (and was not particularly impressed by it), then suddenly found himself somehow transported to a quite realistic world that matches the parameters of the game. Since this is all just a game he doesn't mind killing bandits and selling a captive into slavery. Then he finds that he cannot log out, and his situation is so convincing that he begins to wonder if he is really within just a game after all. A slave girl named Roxanne catches his eye and he hopes to purchase her.

The fact, revealed early, that women in this world have tremendous boobs did not bode well for this show. Yet in the end I found it to be strangely convincing and intriguing. Perhaps that's because it makes no secret of Michio's carnal wishes as he considers buying Roxanne. He starts out as a quite believable guy who wouldn't mind having a hot girl (actually, a human/wolf/something breed) who he could screw whenever he pleased. He's pretty average, really--not admirable but doesn't seem despicable either, and I sort of admire the writer depicting him in this believable manner. The slave trader who explains how things work between masters and slaves seemed convincing as well. And, unlike the character in another recent show, Roxanne isn't depicted as a phony girl who begs to be debased because nothing turns her on more than that. She just obeys orders. I suspect she will wind up something like the fighting girls in Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari --she has feelings for her master but is also a respectable character with a personality of sorts. So, I found this show to be kind of neat and was curious about where the story would go from here.

There was a lot of T&A in episode three, which suggested that maybe this show wasn't going to be all that deep after all and instead would rely on fanservice to attract viewers. Needless to say, that would not be good news. Episodes two and three didn't exactly excite me to the same extent that number one did. Michio earns the money to buy Roxanne by killing bandits. There was a bit where he is troubled by what he has done, which is something that doesn't happen often in isekai anime. But he quickly shakes his doubts off. Why be troubled when you have basically got a sex slave at your disposal? Episode four is basically about him figuring out the best way to screw Roxanne and doing so. There are often hints of porn in anime but here it was unashamedly on display. The main plot of this show seems to be nothing more than how Michio will assemble his harem and make good use of it both to make money and to have a good time. The adventures the two go on play out like tutorials on how to win RPGs (make sure you have been granted all sorts of fantastic powers right from the start). It goes to the point of Michio getting into trouble because his MPs have been drained. And in between quests Michio bangs Roxanne, who sort of behaves like a person who wanted to be a slave would. Apparently in this game-like world slaves are incapable of running away or trying to kill their masters, so that seems about right. In episode nine he gets a big bathtub installed at his new home and spends a good deal of the episode naked in it along with Roxanne. The only 'plot' so far is get stronger on forays into dungeons and have sex in between.

The OP sequence shows something like half a dozen other girls, and a harem demands more than one, yet as late as episode ten Roxanne is the only other member of Michio's party. In episode 11 we finally meet a second girl, Sherry, who is a dwarf and a slave. Michio purchases her from Alan and procedes to make good use of her. I must credit this show for one good self-effacing joke at the end, which comes about when Michio asks the girls what line of work humans are considered best at. I did not notice any hint of a second season but this story was clearly far from finished at the end of episode twelve. Indeed, it isn't even clear what the main conflict will be, assuming there is one. It managed to remain fairly entertaining with a vague plot slowly developing in between the sexual escapades. Perhaps I would watch a second season after all.
