In modern Kyoto, Kumi is a college student who moves to Kyoto in order to take over the candy store inherited from her late grandmother. The house accompanying the candy store was supposed to be unoccupied, but there Kumi meets three women named Harami, Mai, and K, and a dog. The four are heroes who were reincarnated from their world into this one. One day the former demon king, who messed up her reincarnation and is now in the form of an elementary school student, appears and asks her to collect the demon king fragments together.

Laidbackers
Not sure if this film was supposed to be a slice-of-life comedy or some sort of fantasy-adventure, as just having an hour of runtime doesn't give Laidbackers the time it needs to set up any meaningful story exploration and development or to dabble into the world that the four heroes came from landing into Japan. A majority of the film is focused on the types of lives that the heroes have settled into being in Japan and trying to attempt character development with the resurrected demon lord attempting to redeem herself to the heroes. But as mentioned, this baby lacks the time to flesh out and develop things with its story and characters, making Laidbackers feeling kind of incomplete and underwhelming as a result.
