in 2015, Ye Qiu, an employee at the Excellent Era net cafe, is recruited by coworker Su Muqiu to become a professional e-sports gamer. Ye Qiu is reluctant, because his family frowns upon e-sports and likens it to gambling. But eventually he agrees to join a team sponsored by the owner of the cafe that will compete in the popular video game Glory.
