Basically, this stage is a 40 minutes summary of all races that took place since First Stage. That's it! No story at all! It consists of the good races and represents it as a battle style announcement (car vs. car). For you who never watch Initial D, you should not (=AVOID) see this one first because it has no story whatsoever. You will not understand about why and what is the difference between the races, and with no character introduction and development you will not be involved with the main character. The exception is for you people who enjoy watching stock car races and street racing, because you will see and enjoy the cool racing techniques. For those who watched Initial D and loved it, this stage might be a nice nostalgic experience to satisfy your hunger before the fourth stage show up. This Battle Stage still keeping the in race comments by the drivers, so you will 'know' what plan are they thinking. Also, it seems like the re-rendered the racing scenes, which makes it look much cooler, and adding some small extra scenes here and there. The soundtrack is new, and it actually uses a full song for each Battle scene, so you might want to see this as a music video of some kind. Personally, I don't think this stage is worth to spend money for it (=WATCH), but if you already spend your money on the Extra Stage to complete your collection, then go ahead with this one too.
