Aggretsuko ONA 3
This third ONA for Aggretsuko ONA continues exploring the everyday stresses Retsuko faces in both serious and humorous developments. Here, Retsuko finds herself becoming involved with an underground idol group after she accidentally damages the van of their manager. While working with the group, she starts to gradually get immersed in her experience and enjoying the successes of it, while unaware of the realities that can also come in with the profession that the series isn't shy to explore and making for perhaps some of the darker developments that a Sanrio work dabbles into with how close to home it hits. Besides Retsuko, this season also takes time to develop Haida's character as he sorts out whether or not to try persuing a relationship to Retsuko when another co-worker takes up interest in him. The animation is still minimalist and I do feel the handling of the ending looked somewhat rushed and inconclusive with things. But beyond that, I was still mostly entertained with Aggretsuko's amusing and serious insight into the everyday stresses of Retsuko, with her involvement in idol fandom adding a new dimension to exploring her character.
