There's not much I really have to say about this fifth season to Natsume. It retains its same storyline focus as the prior four seasons with exploring Natsume's interactions with various spirits and those who can interact with them as well, retaining the same light dramatic mood and beautiful artwork of prior seasons. This season does have some episodes that flesh out some of the show's supporting cast like Natsume's aunt and uncle, and Seiji Matoba. Otherwise, the fifth season of Natsume's Book of Friends is still engaging to check out if you have been a long-time fan of the series.
