Venus Senki
Venus Wars is a mix of Mad Max and typical sci-fi anime of the 1980s with a war between rival nations and a group of misfit bikers finding themselves caught up in the middle of the conflict with a obnoxious Terran reporter along for the ride in covering the action. The only appealing element to the movie is its rather impressive animation featuring a great amount of detail put into vehicle designs and a nice amount of fluid movement during heated battle scenes and the earlier races taking place. But beyond that, this is a by-the-numbers sci-fi plot that does not offer much in the way of world exploration and the characters do not get much in the way of development beyond being typical character types of the period. Unless you're going into Venus Wars for its animation and action scenes, there isn't much else that is memorable or appealing about the movie.
